Nov 2, 2015- The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has decided to distribute petrol to private vehicles for three days starting Thursday. The fuel will be distributed to private bikes based on lot system through 50 petrol pumps on a given day. However, no government vehicles would be given fuel as part of the distribution plan. This is the second time the government decided to distribute petrol to private vehicles after Indian imposed unofficial blockade against Nepal since September 23. However, the NOC is distributing the fuel from its previous stock. Meanwhile, the 12 tankers carrying fuel gifted by China from Rasuwa arrived at Thankot depot of NOC and unloaded the fuel into the bulk containers at Thankot storage facility. The tankers that left from Rasuwa on Monday morning arrived in the Capital this evening. On Friday and Saturday, 12 tankers went to the bordering Chinese town of Kerung to fetch the fuel gifted by China. Officials said the tankers have brought 80,000 litres of oil in the first lot. The NOC will conduct quality and standard test before distributing the Chinese fuel.
