Nov 2, 2015- A protestor has died after being caught in police firing near Shankaracharya gate, the main gateway to Nepal, in Birgunj border entry point on Monday. The deceased protester had sustained bullet injuries to the head and was reported to be in critical condition. Narayani Sub-regional Hospital Medical Director Imamul Haq informed that the injured protester had breathed his last before reaching to the hospital. "He was already dead before he could reach the hospital. He had sustained bullet injuries in the head" said Haq. Police fired dozens of bullets and tear gas after being heavily pelted with stones by protestors near the border. Several protesters have sustained injuries from the rubber bullet fired by the security forces. The Birgunj-Raxual border point has come under control of protestors. The agitating protestors who had reached the Indian Territory after police vacated them have returned to Miteri bridge. They have been pelting stones at Nepali security forces from Indian territory. Nepali police have been mobilized at Nepali side. Nepal Police had opened the border since 5 am Monday morning by vacating the protestors from the Miteri Bridge. However, once the Indian trucks stranded at the Nepali side entered into India, Indian security forces allowed entry to the agitating protestors in the Dashgaja area. Once the protestors entered the area, they immediately resumed their sit-in protest.
